Soft Margaux 15 · The Row
Image: therow.com
The Margaux was not designed to be famous. It became famous anyway — through the kind of quiet, sustained desire that comes from being genuinely well-made. Structured but supple, available in four sizes from a compact crossbody (10) to a full-sized tote (15), it is made from full-grain leather with minimal hardware. There is no logo. There is no branding. Just the bag.
Since it became the unofficial uniform of a certain aesthetic — the one that appears on streets in Paris, Copenhagen, and New York without ever appearing in an advertisement — demand has consistently outpaced supply. The Row does not increase production to meet demand. They never have.
| Size | Style | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|

| 12 | Soft Margaux 12 | $4,350 | Everyday size |
| 12 | Margaux Shoulder 12 | $3,900 | Shoulder strap variant |
| 15 | Soft Margaux 15 | $4,700–$4,900 | Full tote |
The Row uses Klaviyo to manage restock notifications. It is not enough.
The email queue problem
When the Margaux restocks, Klaviyo sends the same email to every subscriber simultaneously. Thousands of people receive the same notification at the same moment. The bag is gone before most of them open the email.
The variant ID problem
Klaviyo waitlists are tied to specific variant IDs. When The Row’s US and EU stores use different variant IDs for the same product — which they do — subscribers on the wrong store’s waitlist receive no notification at all. You can be on the waitlist and still miss it.
The timing problem
We monitor therow.com every 60 seconds, independently of Klaviyo. When a Margaux variant becomes available, we detect it within one polling cycle — before the Klaviyo email queue has finished processing. That is our advantage.
We have caught Margaux restocks that Klaviyo subscribers missed entirely.
Enter your email. Select Margaux from your wishlist. Takes 30 seconds.
Every 60 seconds, we check all 10 Margaux variants on therow.com. Free users get daily digests. Premium: instant.
The moment a variant goes from sold out to in stock, your alert fires — before the Klaviyo email queue.
There is no public restock schedule for the Margaux. The Row restocks without notice and without announcement. The most reliable way to know when it is back in stock is to have an active alert set up before it happens. We are monitoring all 10 Margaux variants every 60 seconds.
Based on general availability patterns, the Soft Margaux 15 and Soft Margaux 12 appear to restock more frequently than smaller sizes. However, all sizes are monitored equally. We recommend setting alerts for every Margaux size you would consider purchasing.
The Row uses Klaviyo for their notify-me emails. These are tied to specific variant IDs and can have delays. If you signed up for notifications on therow.com, you may still miss a restock due to the email queue processing time or variant ID mismatches. Our system monitors independently, not through Klaviyo.
The Margaux is The Row’s most recognisable structured bag — it is the bag most associated with the brand’s aesthetic. Other The Row bags like the Benchley, the Shrimpton, and the Sideby rotate through seasonal collections. The Margaux is a permanent style, which is why the waitlist for it is perennial.
The Margaux resells at a significant premium over retail. A Soft Margaux 15 retails at $4,700–$4,900 and commonly sells for $6,000–$8,000+ on the secondary market. Securing one at retail through an alert is the most cost-effective route.
